Drew a picture on my theology notes during class again. This one was definitely inspired by the play The Trip to Bountiful, which I’ve been working on for a month and performing in at school this week, and which is set in the 40s, and which has been sapping all my time and strength and creative energy and also possibly my soul, and which also is the reason I’ve been sadly unable to touch this blog for a bit. (In fact, I’m currently backstage publishing this on my phone as the show plays out onstage. I play Jessie Mae, and I’ve got a bit of a break back here in the dark.)
A drawing in graphite, probably a subconscious quasi-response to a recent deep-rooted airport goodbye, although I wasn’t thinking of that at the time.
